So cradle your head in your hands and breathe [Post-trial Week 9]

[He hated it. He hated the idea of making Adam wait, hated the idea of not being able to go back to his own room and just stop everything, but he was approached before he could even leave the trial room and had to figure out a way to slip past Adam for a little while. He'd at least had the foresight to let Adam into his room and promised he'd be quick, he had to just decompress for a bit, did his best not to feel bad he skirted the truth and failed anyway.

It's about an hour and a half after the trial when he comes back, unlocking the door and slowly lumbering his way up the ladder to his room. It's become something comfortable knowing that someone was waiting for him. On the other hand, he's a little worried anyway.]

...you still awake? [It's still pretty damn early, he'd be surprised if Adam was asleep.]

[ At some point, it's become surprising when Luke doesn't stay and talk with him after a trial. He really shouldn't expect it, but he does so it's slightly concerning when Luke says he's going out. A lot of issues pop into his head, like that Luke needs to rest, that he shouldn't go somewhere else to be upset, but he says none of it. Luke is free to do whatever he wants and Adam doesn't have the will to argue.

It's been a while since he's actually been alone anyway. The trial is crowded even with less and less people, and then he made sure Luke was able to rest. Being alone is fine but he's restless and has no way to get the emotions out that he usually talks away with Luke. So he does what he did before he and Luke started talking like that: take notes.

But his mind is so cluttered and the room is so cluttered that he ends up cleaning. He starts with the floor and puts everything into its own little area, then moves on to the desk to clean up the papers. He doesn't look over any that are personal, just stacks them all up without organization. And Luke still isn't back, so he creates a little Noah's Ark on his desk with the plastic animals that are around the room, two of each together. He's quiet and staring at them when he hears Luke enter. ]

You weren't gone for that long. Did you take a nap or something?
