There's a small plant on the kitchen counter and only a few things up on the walls. On the other hand, Jason might also notice a couple of things on said-coffee table including a shoebox and what looks like a bent and burnt golf club. So that happened. On the couch is a journal.]
Suit yourself. [He won't ask for his particular collection of back alley memories and if there have been any new additions to it. Jason can be a hypocrite, but not that much. He won't press when he, himself, isn't willing to cough up the shit he's "remembered" so far.
Arriving at the apartment, he idly scans the room, shaking his head at Luke's question.]
No, thanks. I'm good. [The shoe box and journal are innocuous enough that they don't warrant his immediate attention, but the golf club definitely gets him to cock an eyebrow. Approaching the coffee table, he casts a glance at Luke and gestures at... the thing. What the heckie happened to it?] Uh, involved in any tragic mini golf accidents lately?
[Despite the fact that Luke works at a bar, he's actually pulling out a bottle of juice to take a sip from before his eyes wander back toward that stupid golf club. He knows this isn't why Jason's here, but he also knows that with Jason there has to be a bit of give and take. With that said, he also approaches the table and stares down at the golf club.]
Lately, no. But seeing how this showed up in my mailbox I've been trying to figure out what it is. And don't say "it's a golf club" because I already know that. I want to know why they would send me this.
Maybe it's a sign you need to exercise. Burn those carbs and all of that.
[N...ah........... He doesn't actually believe that, but since Luke told him not to state the obvious — he had to come up with something else. Glancing at the shoe box and journal, since he hadn't seen those before, he frowns.]
Is the golf club the only thing that showed up in the mail for you?

Think you know the answer though. Shoes fit, to the surprise of nobody. But check out the journal. [There's an edge of a dare in that tone, but Jason also knows him well enough to probably notice there's a nervous edge there, too.]

Fuck you, I'm hilarious. [He catches the journal with the hand not holding his juice though, far too used to books being thrown at him. He doesn't open the journal right away, staring at it for some time. It's clear he's already initially looked through the first page, at least, but his jaw clenches tight and he drops on the couch to open the book.]

I remember that about as well as Charleston. [Which is to say he doesn't remember anything at all, no, but he and Thalia both definitely remembered that recently. He's flipping through the pages slowly, noticing the sparse pages between chunks of writing. Luke's writing seems to start in the middle of the journal, as though there's supposed to be earlier text that's missing. He's not concerned with that though.
