[This entire thing was absolute bullshit and the moment they were released from the trial room Luke booked it for his own room. You know what sounded great. A nap. You know what else sounded great? Avoiding everybody!

You know what didn't sound great? Somebody knocking on his door not too longer after that. He opens an eye and stares at the door, debating if he really wanted to bother getting up. Even if he asked "who is it" he probably wouldn't have been heard. Nobody would try to murder him so soon after the trial concluded and he's pretty sure they won't go away until he answers...so up he goes to open the door...and then there's Frankenstein.]

[He opens his mouth but immediately closes it again when Frankenstein adds that addendum. Considering he was just a suspect in a murder he had nothing to do with, he's reconsidering his options on the ship. He has to play nice if he hopes to get what he wants out of all of this. It's like playing up his role of host all over again.

...that hadn't ended well for him the first time, but he needs to understand this ship. Knowing now that retirement meant "death" he's more determined to not get himself killed. Or at least not get caught if he does kill.

So with that, he shrugs slightly and even rolls onto his back, staring more at the bottom of the second bunk than at Frankenstein.]

I wouldn't say I'm looking for injury. What do you take me for? [He almost sounds amused.] They were there, I wanted to take a closer look, the only one who was there was Clover and she's just as bad as I am. [About rifling through things that aren't theirs. About lack of impulse control. He's actually pretty okay with Clover for that reason.] Normally when I take things from people they don't even notice.

[And maybe they still won't. If they hadn't collected the evidence from his room, they might not have noticed.] Anyway what's the boy scout motto? "Be prepared"? I'd like to know what some of these things are before I have to actually use them.

I've been planning on it. There's a lot of things on this ship I'm interested in testing from the med bay and the tablets and some of the cafeteria food. What's wrong with analyzing resources?

We're on a ship filled with people who're supposed to kill each other. What's not to be paranoid about? [He raises an eyebrow. That's not what he's entirely paranoid about honestly but Frankenstein doesn't need to know that. Granted, the smirk on his face probably is enough of a tell to say so.]

I think you have the answer to that question better than I do if you're able to maintain such a smug affect despite the situation you just described.

I'll keep that in mind for next time. [He's bad at faking his concerns though. He's a lot better at really panicking when the time's right, but who needs to know that?

But ah. Right. He scratches the back of his neck, debating the best way to explain...this. But considering he never made it to the Underworld, there's probably no harm in mentioning the last place he was prior to that.]

Uh. Olympus? [Who knows, maybe he'll think he's kidding. Or maybe he's from a place Olympus doesn't mean much to him, that would work, too.]

Does it? [But his eyes shift to stare at that stupid outfit.] I didn't ask for that, by the way. It showed up with the rest of my stuff.

[There's a short pause.] Where I'm from, there's more of us than people would think but we don't exactly go around announcing what we are. People start to think it's a joke or that you're crazy if you talk about being chased down by a minotaur. [And thus why he hasn't bothered telling anyone on the ship either.] You can see why I want to know how the AI brought me here.

You may want to hide it a bit better if you don't want more people asking questions during your room check. Or come up with a more interesting cover story.

[You know, toga parties and whatnot. That's just his friendly advice if Luke wants to keep up a solid lie, though.]

You want to know because you're... what, gifted? [A quirk of his brow. Because if you ask him, that's not exactly a rare trait on this ship.]

I could pass for an overgrown college student don't you think? Maybe I'll tear it apart and make curtains for my bed. [But that's a pretty useful bit of advice, thank you Frankenstein.]

Let's just say I was in a position that I shouldn't have been pulled from. I was kinda in the middle of something huge. Why then? Why now? ["Why me????"] And all those other fun existential questions.

[Given that he's resisting the urge to roll his eyes, he doesn't miss home that much. But he's surprised by how transparent he's made things and he doesn't stop fast enough to prevent from nodding in agreement.]

It's something like that. More like half-bloods versus the gods versus titans. There was a battle for Olympus going on back there. Titan wanted to take over and overthrow the gods. People had to stop him. [He's rolling right over that story and focusing instead on what else the man says.]

So...what does that really mean? I get it, you're from something similar and they stripped you of half of your abilities, too, but what are you?

If titans were to overthrow the gods, would the next order of business be for the half-bloods to overthrow the titans? Or were you seeking to prevent the overthrow of the gods in the first place?

[NOT ROLLING OVER IT. Because he thinks that his next answer is very simple:]

[Eheh. There's the most minute of pauses because while he has an answer it's a little trickier to seamlessly slide himself into it.]

The half-bloods and the gods were working together to prevent the overthrow of Olympus from gods to titans. Them and a couple of breeds of monsters. 'course that doesn't count the gods and demigods that were on the titans' side either. You had all of them. [He shakes his head.] That whole battle was a pretty big mess. Bloodiest battle of the second Titanomachy. You can see why this isn't exactly new to me.

[There. Truthful answer without being entirely truthful. He can't help but lift his eyebrows.] You don't get to be over a thousand years old with the ability to "dark weapon summon" or "aura project" by just being a principal.

[Luke is also forgetting that there are actual gods working at Camp so. Gj Luke.]
