yeah. i know exactly what you mean, and i don't happen to like it.

i remember losing jason.

losing Jason how? what happened.

left him with a woman for five minutes alone, came back and he was gone. we were kids, i think. i called her mom and she kept telling me he was gone.

which makes no sense since that would mean your mom ever actually took responsibility for being a parent.

[Someone isn't a fan, it seems.]

but when you say a woman...you mean not your actual mom? like a stranger?

someone i've never seen before, yeah.

you remember what she looked like? or anything identifying?

tall. pretty. poofy blonde hair like an old-school 80s do.

kay all the more reason this stranger can't be your mom. I thought your mom had dark hair like you and jason? also we're not in the 80s but that's besides the point

did she say anything else to you?

no that was pretty much the extent of the thing. that brief argument and then nothing.

and mom does have dark hair like us. for what that's worth.

at least this sort of leads to some of these things maybe not being real. why would they give us false people if they want us to believe they're memories or whatever?

come on, luke. if they were real, we already know some basic facts were apparently different. i'm not saying they are real, but i am saying i want to know more if it's going to keep happening.

well maybe I don't. I haven't decided yet.
...look it doesn't matter, all right? whatever you remembered or whatever doesn't matter because Jason's here and he's perfectly fine. whatever you thought of was probably just to mess with your head

if you don't want to know more will you let me know? i'm pretty sure if we keep talking about these things we're going to remember more one way or the other.

...to be honest I've been remembering a lot even without talking to you and I don't know what any of it means.

I don't want to talk about this right now. we'll be at the pageant though, I promise. and I'll keep an eye on the kids while we're looking for retrospec reps
