Rebuilding it maybe. [He seems thoughtful about that, but in the end he's grateful Adam changes the subject. He thinks of explaining about the magical shoes his dad gave him for his quest, the pair of converse with little wings. But he doesn't get that far. He doesn't get that far because Adam's asking hard questions and he doesn't like it, doesn't like the way they make his fingers twitch nervously and his stomach tie in strange knots.

The truth is, he doesn't really know.]


What would I want? [He repeats the question because he genuinely doesn't understand. He doesn't have an answer right away, and he blinks up at the ceiling in thought.] ...a chance at a normal life, probably. Maybe rebirth will let me be normal without monsters chasing me every time I step outside and with a family-- [...this conversation just got a little too real so again, he's stopping.] What's it matter? I don't think I get to choose anyway.
