Luke Castellan is a liar
[Sunday night was a bad night for all of them for a variety of reasons. People had died, people had been injured, people had been heartbroken and it strongly reminds Luke of "war" in the most literal sense. So many conflicting emotions cropped up and the night before left him pretty restless thinking about...well, everything.

It's why he coordinates to leave his room the next morning, heading to the kitchen to pick up a few things. He's delayed there for a while by something unexpected, but eventually he makes his way to the medbay with a small box tucked under his arm. Backbiter's still strapped to him but that's mostly safety precaution by now, and his usual notebook's also with him. He balances the items in his hands and he moves to open the door to the medbay so he can lean against its frame to check on the current state of the furries. If they're both asleep, of course, he'll consider coming back later…or just hide out there for a while, who knows. But if at least one of them is awake he'll notice soon enough.]

Luke Castellan is a liar
[Sunday night was a bad night. There's no doubt about it and even if it had ended the way it had his head and his chest still hurt enough that he knew he needed to get out for a little while. It was a bad idea to leave but he'd made his arrangements and swore he was really only going to the kitchen and the medical bay later that morning. He was willing to be held accountable for all of his steps from now on.

What the hell had he become?

Despite this, he shuffles into the kitchen on Monday with the vague idea of procuring some food for two specific people but his exhaust-clouded brain isn't exactly registering much. He stares at the cubed foods for a few moments, not quite parsing what they are before making coffee and ducking into the kitchen.

It's about then he spots Yuno standing at the stove…making pancakes. He hovers in the doorway while her back is turned and he freezes up just a little. He remembers what she'd said to him and how he'd questioned if maybe he really was doing the wrong thing. In the end, he went with his gut and as it turned out he was right. But that didn't stop Yuno from voting from him and it didn't stop Luke from being wary. But…Yuno's still someone he can relate to, someone who's probably having the same kind of "bad" the rest of them are and so he steps into the kitchen in a show of making his way to the fridge.]

Morning. Now it's pancakes? [She really is good with her hands, it seems.]
