Pretty bad? Pretty bad, I guess.
[HE GUESSES. Really though, when there's not much else he can do but fret, he just tends to try to aggressively shrug things off instead. He never said he was good at coping...]
If there's a real way to do something like that, I haven't heard of anyone talking about it, at least. You could always ask on the network but my guess is since we're all kinda diving into this fresh-faced and new, no one even knows how it works. Forget about trying to stop it. ...For now, at least.

What do you think might happen if someone tried opening a Retrospec package that wasn't meant for them? Like if you get the job, and you see that your sister got one, so you try to see what's in it?
[ besides the fact that you're breaking a federal law but that's besides the point. ]
Although maybe there will be some magical bullshit that happens and mysteriously enough you never end up with Retrospec packages when it's your shift.

I'm no good when it comes to thinking about confusing stuff like this...
[It's said with a little note of discomfort, because as much as he admires Luke for being so proactive with trying to untangle this whole complex mess, he's always felt strangely aimless without directions to follow. Being unable to contribute feels bad man... Maybe he can sew matching capes for The Resistance.]
They're aiming pretty small-scale if they want a whole new world order, though. Like, what, are they going a "one city at a time" route?

Don't be ridiculous. I'm just fucking great at acting like I'm not at this point, but just know that I'm only the shadow of what once was a human being. The taint of a man, if you will.
[ he has considered quitting and finding a new job, but doing that when he's in the middle of end of the school year bullshit for a graduating senior seems to be like too much extra work.
he considers the idea though. ]
What do you think the credentials for getting a post office job is?

Empirically speaking, I probably don't have enough data to gauge what counts as crazy anymore.
I'm also not particularly good at guessing what lunatic trolls will do next.

[Considering he's stuck here (thanks to someone), his choices are very limited here...]
Around when I heard crickets chirping everywhere and someone screamed and dragged me down a street because someone's dog turned into a giant bug.
So yes, recently.

That depends on how far and what other purposes you want it for. Fuel needs are the biggest issue since we won't be able to recharge or replenish. That means you need to build something carrying its weight plus that of whatever equipment you want on it. The less equipment we need, the easier it'll be to get the energy required. We could try building somethin' with solar components in the manner of Mars probes, but that has particular costs and only works if we're sendin' it somewhere to get enough sunlight.
Transmission should be the easy part, but if somehow we're goin' somewhere out of range of the kind of transmission tech we have access to, we'd have to design it to set up its own relays as it goes along.

Okay, mom.
[ it's said in the familiar "i'm a stubborn teenager" tone, but. karkat does appreciate luke genuinely being concerned about his bad life habits. it's very easy to forget that he does not live his life in a vacuum, sometimes. ]
... I'll see what I can do.
